These Terms of Use ("Terms") are the agreement between you and ARVEAM GLOBAL PRIVATE LIMITED, a company registered in India ("Maitora", "we", "us"), the provider of the Maitora app and its content (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App. This document also serves as the End User License Agreement (EULA) for the App.

1. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on devices that you own or control, for your own non-commercial, personal wellbeing use.
If you obtained the App from Apple's App Store, that license is limited to Apple-branded devices and is granted as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service and the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). Where these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the more protective term for you applies, and Apple's Standard EULA governs the points it requires.
If you obtained the App from Google Play, that license is limited to Android devices and is granted subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the App except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.
2. Wellbeing, not medical advice
Maitora is a wellbeing and mindfulness tool — not a medical device, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for professional care. Its content (meditations, breathing exercises, affirmations, sleep stories, mood reflections, and Mitra's messages) is for general relaxation and self-reflection only.
The App does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. Always seek the guidance of a qualified health professional with any questions about a medical or mental-health condition. Do not use breathing or movement exercises in situations that require your full attention (for example, while driving), and stop any exercise that causes discomfort, dizziness, or pain.
If you are in crisis or may harm yourself or others, do not rely on the App. Contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately. Where the App includes Mitra, it has gentle prompts to seek human help, but no part of the App can or does provide emergency or clinical support.
3. Mitra & on-device AI
On supported Apple devices, Mitra and certain content (such as generated guided meditations, affirmations, and reflections) are produced using on-device artificial intelligence. AI-generated content can be imperfect, incomplete, or unexpected, and is offered "as is" for relaxation and reflection only. It is not professional advice, and you are responsible for how you choose to use it.
Availability of AI features depends on your device and operating system, and they are not part of every version of the App. The Android version generates no content and does not include Mitra: its meditations, sleep stories and affirmations are drawn from a library of hand-written scripts shipped inside the app. Nothing in these Terms, in the App's store listing, or on this website is a promise that a particular AI feature will be available to you.
4. Maitora Pro & subscriptions
The core App is free to use. Maitora Pro unlocks additional features and is available as an auto-renewable subscription or a one-time purchase, sold through Apple's App Store or Google Play depending on where you got the App:
- Monthly — US$7.99 per month (auto-renewing).
- Yearly — US$39.99 per year (auto-renewing), which may include an introductory free trial of up to 7 days for eligible new subscribers.
- Lifetime — US$99.99, a one-time purchase (non-renewing).
Prices are shown in your local currency and may vary by region, by each store's foreign-exchange and tax rules, and over time; the price shown in the App at the time of purchase governs. A purchase made in one store does not carry across to the other — an App Store purchase cannot be restored on Android, and a Google Play purchase cannot be restored on an Apple device.
Billing & renewal (App Store)
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- An auto-renewable subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in your device's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions (or in the App Store) at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro access until the end of the paid period.
Billing & renewal (Google Play)
- Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- An auto-renewable subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions or in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro access until the end of the paid period.
- Monthly and yearly are two plans of the same subscription, so switching between them is a plan change made inside the App rather than a second purchase; Google prorates it and credits any unused time to the new plan.
Free trials
If a free trial is offered and you start one, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, it converts into a paid subscription at the stated price. Trial eligibility is determined by the store, not by us.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by the store you bought from, and refunds are handled by that store under its own policies — we cannot directly process refunds for either store. For App Store purchases, use reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play purchases, use Google Play's refund request, or contact us and we will help where the store allows it. Where the law gives you a statutory right to cancel or a refund, that right is unaffected.
Restoring purchases
You can restore an active subscription or your lifetime purchase on a new device via the "Restore purchases" option in the App, signed in with the same Apple ID or the same Google account you purchased with.
5. Your content
Photos, videos, journal entries, recordings, affirmations and other material you add ("Your Content") stay on your device; we never receive or store them. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to any media you import (including music and photos). You retain all rights you hold in Your Content. You're responsible for keeping your own copies: on Apple devices, Maitora Pro can keep your data in step through your own iCloud account, and receiving it back is free for everyone; on Android, you can save a backup file wherever you choose, and restoring one is always free.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App, including by: using it for any unlawful purpose; attempting to disrupt, probe, or circumvent its security or licensing; using it in a way that infringes others' rights; or importing content you do not have the right to use. The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
7. Intellectual property
The App, including its software, design, text, graphics, the "M + Om" mark, the Maitora name and wordmark, and all related content (other than Your Content and Apple's or third parties' materials), is owned by Maitora and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a license to use the App, not any ownership of it. "Maitora" is a trademark of its owner. Apple Health, Apple Watch, Apple Intelligence, Siri, and the App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Android, Google Play, Health Connect and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. Their use here is descriptive only.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content, reminder, or AI output will be accurate or suit your needs. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will Maitora be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the App. To the extent we are found liable, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. This section does not affect the medical/wellbeing disclaimers in Section 2, which you acknowledge and accept.
10. Acknowledgement regarding Apple & the App Store
This Section applies to your use of the App obtained through Apple's App Store. You and we acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Specifically:
- Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App. Any support questions should be directed to us at hello@maitora.com.
- To the extent any warranty exists and is not effectively disclaimed, Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation for the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility, not Apple's.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product-liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer-protection or similar law, subject to these Terms.
- In the event of a third-party claim that the App or your use of it infringes that party's intellectual-property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such a claim, subject to these Terms.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
11. Acknowledgement regarding Google & Google Play
This Section applies to your use of the App obtained through Google Play. You and we acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us only, and that Google is not a party to them and is not responsible for the App or its content. Specifically:
- Google has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App. Support questions should be directed to us at hello@maitora.com.
- Your use of Google Play is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service, and purchases are handled by Google under those terms and Google's payment policies.
- We, not Google, are responsible for the App and for addressing any claims relating to it, including product-liability claims, claims that it fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, claims under consumer-protection law, and claims that the App infringes a third party's intellectual-property rights, subject to these Terms.
- Google's handling of your purchase and personal data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, not by ours.
12. Changes & termination
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, note it in an app update. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. We may suspend or end the App, or your license, if you materially breach these Terms; you may stop using the App at any time by deleting it.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and the courts located in India will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence give you additional rights or require a different forum. Nothing here deprives you of the protection of mandatory provisions of your local law.
